PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the useability by mounting a projectable and retractable holder connecting member in a key body, and projecting the holder connecting member in the removement of a mechanical key. SOLUTION: A lock pawl 15 engaged with a locking groove 23 formed on a side edge of a mechanical key 11 is mounted in a lower cover 3. On this occasion, the lock pawl 15 is energized by a spring 18 elastically mounted on a rear end of the lock pawl. Then a holder connecting member 25 capable of projecting and retracting with respect to an opening 9 of a mechanical key storage part 8 is mounted in the key body. On this occasion, the holder connecting member 25 is curved into the channel shape over the lock pawl 15, engaged with the lock pawl 15 for controlling the projection and preventing the slipping-off, and automatically outwardly projected by the spring force of a spring 27 elastically mounted on a depth of a storage groove 26 when the mechanical key 11 is pulled out. Thereby a holder, a tag and the like can be hooked on the holder connecting member 25 even when the mechanical key 11 is removed from the key body.
