PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the inside of a washing/spin-dry basket widely visible while maintaining the strength of lid bodies by constituting the lid bodies of first and second lid bodies and disposing a recessed part and a hook part covering part at the front of this recessed part between first and second transparent windows provided on the apertures. SOLUTION: The lid body 300 covering a clothes feeding port 210 of the electric washing machine is composed of the first lid body 301 which is rotatably mounted at one end via a first revolving shaft part 303 disposed on the rear side to a top cover 200 and the second lid body 302 which is rotatably mounted via a second revolving shaft part 304 to the other end of this lid body 301. The respective lid bodies 301 and 302 are provided with the first and second transparent windows 305 and 306 so as to cover the apertures respectively formed at these bodies. At this time, a handle 307 consisting of the recessed hook part is formed at the second lid body 306 on the side nearer a user between these transparent windows 305 and 306. The handle 307 is disposed in the manner described above, by which the second transparent window 306 is made higher in strength.
