PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economically efficient automatic carrying-in/carrying-out device for file folder which can be installed even in a small room. SOLUTION: In an automatic carrying-in/carrying-out device for file folder 1 comprising a storage shelf 4 for storing file folders, a carrying-in section 3 for holding file folders to be carried in, a carrying-out section 2 for holding file folders to be carried out, a stacker crane 6 for storing file folders held in the carrying-in section 3 onto the storage shelf 4 as well as picking up file folders from the storage shelf 4 to put them in the carrying-out section 2, and a panel 1a which contains the storage shelf 4 and the stacker crane 6, the carrying-in section 3 and the carrying-out section 2 are so arranged as to be projected from the external surface of the panel 1a.
