PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting method for a welding condition, by which an optimum welding condition is set according to a working environment when a work program is generated to an object to be worked by offline teaching, and a setting system for the welding condition, by which its method can be surely carried out. SOLUTION: To generate a work program for performing welding work, not only a basic welding condition data base given as a general condition by a basic welding condition data base constituting means 8 but also a welding condition obtained by performing actual welding by an actual welding condition data base constituting means 15 are set to an actual welding condition data base. When setting a welding condition to a designated weld portion, both data bases of a basic welding condition and an actual welding condition are retrieved.
