HYDROGEN SUPPLY SYSTEM TO EQUIPMENT USING HYDROGEN AS FUEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen supply system enabling the operational startup of a fuel cell and the operation of the fuel cell to rapidly be performed and reliably be continued respectively, and capable of preventing the problems of a reforming unit from affecting hydrogen supply. SOLUTION: This hydrogen supply system 1 has a reforming unit 3 producing hydrogen from raw materials such as alcohols and gasoline and a hydrogen- storing unit 15 absorbing hydrogen produced in the reforming unit 3 and then desorbing the occluded hydrogen to supply it to a fuel cell 2 which uses hydrogen as a fuel. The hydrogen-storing unit 15 has a first storing part 151 easy to absorb hydrogen and a second storing part 152 easy to desorb hydrogen. By making the first storing part 151 absorb hydrogen once from the reforming unit 3 and then by making the second storing part 152 absorb hydrogen desorbed from the first storing part 151, the operation startup of the fuel cell 2 is performed using desorbed hydrogen from the second storing part 152 and then the operation continuation of the fuel cell 2 is performed using desorbed hydrogen from the first storing part 151.
