PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided an ink jet recording sheet using a polyolefin resin-coated paper support which shows high gloss and ink absorption and is almost free from a surface crack defect. SOLUTION: This recording sheet has an ink receptive layer formed at least on one of the sides of a support. In this case, the support is a polyolefin resin- coated paper on which an undercoat layer having 0.5 g/m2 or less coating build-up of a solid content is applied. In addition, the ink receptive layer contains vapor phase processed silica, and the ink receptive layer is applied on the support treated by a high frequency corona discharge process. |
