PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion compensation circuit and a decoder that can decode a coded image of a plurality of channels at a high-speed. SOLUTION: A motion compensation section 100 provided to this decoder includes a block 20 coping with a left eye image and a block 30 coping with a right eye image. The left eye block 20 conducts motion compensation arithmetic processing on the basis of left eye image (reference data) read from a memory 22 and difference data. The memory 22 and a memory 32 of the right eye block 30 store the decoded left eye image data as a result of the motion compensation arithmetic processing. The right eye block executes the motion compensation arithmetic processing according to the difference data on the basis of the right eye image (reference data) stored in the memory 32 and the transferred left eye decoded image data.
