PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a counter weight rope from being loosened by traveling a car in the descending direction when a counter weight-side emergency stop device malfunctions, and releasing the emergency stop. SOLUTION: In this fluid pressure elevator having a fluid jack 4 for vertically moving a fluid plunger 2 to raise and lower a car 1 through a main rope 3, an emergency car stop device 8 is attached to the car 1, and when the car 1 lower at an abnormal speed, the abnormal speed is detected by a governor 25 to emergency stop the car 1. When a governor 35 for a counter weight 5 malfunctions in this emergency stop, an emergency stop 33 is operated. At this time, when the car 1 is traveled in the ascending direction, a counter weight rope 7 is loosened since the counterweight 5 is not moved. Thus, in the emergency stop of the elevator, the car 1 is necessarily traveled to the descending directional nearest floor to solve the looseness of the rope 7. |
