PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for installation of supporting material for cofferdam construction capable of installing even a long single supporting material by easily moving it to an installation position and capable of expecting an increase in construction efficiency. SOLUTION: After sheet pile walls 2, 2 for cofferdam construction are installed drivingly, specified stages of supporting materials 4, 5, 6 are floated on water surface between the sheet pile walls 2, 2, first the supporting material 4 on the uppermost stage is installed, second the water level of the water surface between the sheet pile walls 2, 2 is lowered to move the supporting materials 5, 6 to near the installation position of the supporting material 5 on the next stage, the supporting material 5 is installed and, at the same time, the movement and installation of the supporting material 6 on the lowermost stage are performed. Thus, even a long single supporting material can be moved easily to an installation position and installed.
