SUBAQUEOUS ANTIFOULING AGENT WITH IMPROVED DISPERSIBILITY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a subaqueous antifouling agent having improved dispersibility and low toxicity, and useful as a antifouling agent for a fishing net or the like without damaging the antifouling activities against a coelenterate such as hydrozoan by using a specific active ingredient and a specified disperser. SOLUTION: The objective subaqueous antifouling agent having improved dispersibility contains zinc bis(dimethylthiocarbamoyl)ethylenebisthiocarbamate (whose formulated amount is 3-30 wt.%) as an active ingredient, and a polyamide wax (whose formulated amount is 0.001-5 wt.%) as a disperser. The antifouling agent is ordinary used in a form of a dispersed coating material, and the coating material is prepared by adding other resins (e.g. a rosin resin) and an elution regulator (e.g. di-tert-nonyl pentasulfide). The productivity is improved because the active ingredient is not required to be formed into fine powder.
