PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly produce an inexpensive reclaimed material by remelting a granulated slag, providing a molten slag, then solidifying the molten slag by air cooling and affording a solidified slag. SOLUTION: A granulated slag produced in a large amount when treating a waste such as a refuse with a melting treatment furnace is dried in the sun, etc., then charged into a melting furnace such as an arc type electric melting furnace and melted with about 2,000-4,000 W electric power for about 1-4 h. The heating is carried out at this time so as to provide 1,450-1,650 deg.C surface temperature of the melt and a magnet is utilized in the molten state to remove a metal. Thereby, rust is not formed in a slag reclaimed material or a product utilizing the material. The resultant molten slag is cast into a pouring pan, allowed to stand for about 2-2.5 h in air, then taken out of the receiving pan and allowed to cool to provide a solidified slag. A mineral such as bauxite, aluminous shale or a molten alumina (e.g. having about <=30 mm grain diameter) can be placed in the molten slag at this time to prevent the melt from bumping.
