PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent backward movement of a vehicle at the time of actuating a brake pedal by providing a control device for making the driving force at the time of actuating the brake pedal smaller than that at the time of releasing, thereby inhibiting switching of driving force at the time of stopping the vehicle. SOLUTION: In the case where the car speed is less than 5 km/h on a steep ascent, when actuating of an accelerator pedal is released by a driver, a driving force control device DCU gives a strong creep command at the time of running so that the driving force is reduced from the strong creep state. When the vehicle is moved forward by its inertia and decreased in vehicle speed to 5 km/h, the control device DCU gives a strong creep command because the brake pedal BP is not actuated. When the vehicle is stopped, it is not immediately moved backward by the driving force in the strong creep state, but the driver actuates the brake pedal BP for keeping the stop state. However, even if the brake pedal BP is actuated at the time of stopping the vehicle, the control device DCU does not gives a weak creep command. Thus, the vehicle can be stopped against the retreating force on a slope by the driving force in the strong creep state and the brake force.
|
