PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform inquiry of a faulty cause of equipment without needing highly technical knowledge. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a faulty cause estimating means which outputs to a faulty of the equipment a question regarding a condition of equipment predetermined on the basis of knowledge of an expert of the equipment and outputs the cause of the faulty as a diagnosis result together with its degree of confirmation of the faulty by processing an answer to the question on the basis of an estimating method following the knowledge of the expert, and an input/output part which outputs the question item and the faulty diagnostic result inputted from this faulty cause estimating means to outside and outputs this answer to the faulty cause estimating means when an answer to the question item is inputted.
