PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a driver setting operation burden by means of a user and to make driver installation work to be efficiently by obtaining setting information of a driver from an outer device and executing the automatic installation processing of the driver. SOLUTION: CPU 2 displays PC(personal computer) on a network and a peripheral unit on the screen of CRT 16 based on information obtained from a management server through a communication control part 4. When an instruction for installing the driver of a local device is given in a system display window, CPU 2 obtains driver setting information from a management server or PC managing the selected peripheral unit and automatically installs the driver. When an instruction for installing the driver of a network device is given, CPU 2 obtains driver setting information and installs the driver.
