PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which is capable of reducing a display unevenness and reducing the production cost, and a process for producing the same. SOLUTION: A insulative liquid 1 and colored electrostatic charge particles 2 which are moved toward first electrode 8 and a second electrode 7 by the voltage impressed to the first electrode 8 and the second electrode 7 are packed into tubes 3 having light transmissibility. Projecting parts 3a which prohibit the movement of the colored electrostatic charge particles 2 are longitudinally regularly formed on the inside wall surfaces of these tubes 3, by which the colored electrostatic charge particles 2 are moves within the range segmented by the adjacent two projecting parts 3a. Further, the tubes packed with the insulative liquid 1 and the colored electrostatic charge particles 2 are arranged in tight contact between a first substrate 4 formed with the first electrode 8 and a light transmissible second substrate 6 on which the second electrodes 7 are formed, thereby, the colored electrostatic charge particles 2 are uniformly dispersed. Also, the colored electrostatic charge particles are moved in a direction perpendicular to the substrates 4 and 6 by the voltage impressed to the first electrode 8 and the second electrode 7.
