PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve transmitting efficiency and communication reliability (reception quality) when a plurality of mobile stations receive an outgoing burst from a base station, and to make the mobile station compact and light, and to reduce power consumption. SOLUTION: In this communication system, a base station and the plurality of mobile stations operate communication by using a TDMA/TDD system. In the base station, a level comparing part 10 receives an incoming burst from the mobile stations by antennas 1 and 2, and compares reception signal levels, and selects the antenna whose reception signal level is the highest, and outputs a comparison judged result. Then, transmission data are generated into the single transmission burst or the synthesized and divided transmission burst on a time axis for each antenna 1 or 2 which is selected based on the comparison judged result. Also, PR for realizing reception synchronization and UW for realizing data leading detection and frame synchronization are added to each leading of the transmission burst, and the transmission burst are transmitted from the corresponding antenna 1 or 2 to the mobile stations by spatial transmission diversity. |
