PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always obtain an excellent image by preventing the rubbing of an image surface by surely correcting fixing and carrying speed. SOLUTION: This recorder is provided with rocking guides 43A and 43B and a fixed guide 43C between a separation part and a fixing part, and also provided with a paper detection sensor 53, a lever 54 for turning on/off the sensor 53 and a loop sensor 55. Recording paper P separated from a transfer belt 31 reaches a fixing nip after the lever 54 is tilted to turn on the sensor 53. When carrying the paper P is started by fixing rollers 41A and 41B, the growth of pre-fixing loop of the paper is started to press the guide 43b downward. At the time of attaining a certain loop amount α, a projection 43F turns off the sensor 55 by shielding it from light. Then, time (tc) from turning on the sensor 53 till turning off the sensor 55 is measured and the difference of actual fixing and carrying speed from the initial speed Vi of the belt 31 is calculated, and the fixing and carrying speed is changed to the speed obtained by adding the difference to the initial speed Vi so as to prevent the further growth of the loop. |
