<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a data transmitter which can transmit data at high speed by reducing the overhead resulting from the firmware processing of a central processing unit. SOLUTION: The data transmitter is provided with a buffer 5 used exclusively for reception, a buffer 6 used exclusively for transmission, and a buffer 7 used for both transmission and reception. The transmitter is also provided with a filter 8 for reception, a filter 9 for transmission, and a packet processing circuit 10. When a response packet which is paired to a certain requested packet is received while data transmitting operations are executed, the filter 8 stores the response packet in the buffer 7 and informs the circuit 10 that the response is detected. When a packet which is not related to data transmitting operations is received while the operations are executed, the filter 8 stores the packet in the buffer 5 and issues a temporary stop instruction to the circuit 10. When the transaction which is performed when the circuit 10 receives the instruction is completed, the circuit temporarily stops data transmission.</p> |
