PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more accurately display picture by making approximately the same the timing of risings of signals and making the time required for a falling of the signals longer than the time required for the rising of the signals. SOLUTION: A column wire driving section 10 is provided with current sources I1, which apply currents to column wires when output pulse signals of PWM generators 101 corresponding to inputted luminance data for every column wire are on, and base grounded transistors 100 which provide DC bias voltages that are current limited by current sources I2 when the luminance data are off. Thus, the timing of the risings of the signals outputted through plural column wires are made approximately the same. Moreover, the time required for a prescribed wave height value of a picture display state becomes a prescribed wave height value of a picture non-display state during a signal falling is made longer the time required for a prescribed wave height value of a picture non-display state becomes the prescribed wave height value of a picture display state during a signal rising.
