PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silica-based forming material, without wearing the mold in which it is formed, free of problems resulting from getting black, and suitable for construction purposes, for which outer appearances are important. SOLUTION: This silica-based forming material comprises a matrix resin containing a silica-based filler, and has a viscosity of 10 to 80 kPas, determined by a Heripasu viscometer at a spindle F rotational speed of 5 rpm and 25 deg.C.
