PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems as incomplete erasing at the time of over-writing a signal on a disk, cross-talk disturbance at the time of signal reproduction, and cross-erase disturbance at the time of recording a signal, and also to realize an increase in recording capacity of the disk. SOLUTION: The information signal recording device for recording and reproducing an information signal on a disk is provided with a file area adjoining track NT bearing no information therein, arranged adjacently to a file recording area FRE where a file is recorded. The file adjoining track NT is arranged only when disturbances of cross-talk and cross-erase have especially a relatively high possibility of occurrence.
