PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically regulate the release pressure of a fire extinguisher to a predetermined pressure and to easily an surely open and close a valve. SOLUTION: This fire hydrant valve has, inside a valve casing main body 1 having an inflow port 5 and an outlet 6 for a fire extinguisher, a passage opening part 4 extending from the inflow port 5 to the outlet 6; the passage opening part 4 can be opened and closed by a flow regulating valve 3 which is always energized by a spring force 12 in an opening direction. In this case, a closing means is provided for closing the passage opening part 4 by moving the flow regulating valve 3 toward the passage opening part 4 against the spring force 12, so that the pressure of the fire extinguisher at the outlet can be held at a predetermined pressure, thus enabling the fire extinguisher to be released under a stable condition form the nozzle of a hose connected and communicated wit the outlet. Also, the closing means is operated to move the flow regulating valve toward the passage opening part against the spring force to close the passage opening part. Thus, the fire hydrant valve can be smoothly and surely opened and closed.
