PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce space and intake air passing resistance due to a spray device by disposing pipes for an evaporative coolant and air respectively inside a silencer that reduces noise from a compressor, providing the silencer with an expanded air passage area at a compressor side, and spraying in or in front of the expanded air passage area. SOLUTION: Air that enters a gas turbine 5 passes through a filter 10 in an intake chamber 1 to a silencer 2, where a nozzle 3 sprays water to the air. Since an air pipe and a water pipe required for spraying are disposed in the silencer 2, separate space for installing a spray device is not necessary. The air pipe and water pipe are mounted inside a splitter comprising the silencer, and the nozzle for spraying water is disposed at the rear portion of the splitter. Further, since the nozzle is mounted on a splitter wall, increase in intake air passing resistance due to nozzle and the like can be sustained at a significantly low level. An expanded air passage area is where a sectional area of the air passage expands at the compressor side of the splitter.
