FORM ROLLING METHOD FOR GEAR-SHAPED MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a form rolling method for a gear-shaped member which is favorable in suppressing the vibration in the beginning of the form rolling, capable of stabilizing the division to divide the gear number at a specified pitch, and favorable for reducing damages on the form rolling device and a roller die. SOLUTION: In this form rolling method, an outer circumferential part of a blank 4 is form-rolled by form-rolling teeth 10 of a roller die 1 by pressing the roller die 1 against the outer circumferential part of the blank 4 while rotating the roller die 1 using the blank 4 and the roller die 1 provided with a plurality of form-rolling teeth 10 to achieve the form rolling to the blank 4 on the outer circumferential part. The pressing speed of the roller die 1 in the beginning of the form rolling is set to be larger than that of the roller die 1 in the subsequent form rolling.
