PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method by which image density is not changed and line reproducibility is not lowered even in the case of performing continuous printing for many sheets. SOLUTION: This image forming method includes an electrifying stage for electrifying a latent image carrier 1 by bringing a contact electrifying means into contact with the carrier 1, a latent image forming stage for forming an electrostatic latent image on the electrified carrier 1, and a developing stage for forming a toner image by carrying two-component type developer having toner 19a and magnetic carrier 19b and developing the electrostatic latent image with the toner of the two-component type developer. In the method, the volume resistance value (A) of the surface layer of the latent image carrier is 108 to 1014 Ω.cm, the toner incorporates binding resin and carbon black, the weight average particle of the toner is 3 to 10 μm, and the average primary particle diameter of the carbon black is 13 to 60 mμ. Assuming that the number of particles of a flocculated lump having <10 primary particles in a dispersed state in the toner is (a) and the number of particles of the flocculated lump having >=10 primary particles is (b), a<=b is satisfied. |
