PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To record a beautiful image without a dust defect by preventing generation of flaw or film peel-off due to a recording medium cutting device in a recording apparatus. SOLUTION: A recording medium cutting device 10 is provided with conveyance roller pairs 14 (14a, 14b), 15 (15a, 15b) disposed forward and backward of a rotatably movable circular blade 11, and a fixed blade 12 disposed adjacently along the moving direction of the circular blade 11, with respect to the recording medium P longitudinal direction. Tension is always applied to the recording medium disposed between the conveyance roller pairs 14, 15 by the conveyance roller pairs 14, 15 and the cutting device 10 itself is disposed in a state of being inclined slightly by an angle ofθfrom the perpendicular plane face with respect to the recording medium moving direction.
