PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect lower end parts of two face plates by ribs, and to easily manufacture the doorway by removing members of upper hollow sections by downwardly projecting a lower end part of the car outside face plate more than a lower end part of the car inside face plate in a lower end part of the hollow sections for constituting a side body structure. SOLUTION: A car body of a railway rolling stock is composed of an underframe for constituting a side body structure, a roof and a floor, and is constituted by joining extruded sections being plural hollow sections of an aluminum alloy. The hollow section 10 on the lower end of the side body structure is composed of two face plates 11, 12 and plural ribs 13, 14, 15 for connecting both, and in a lower end part, the lower end of the car outside face plate 11 projects downward more than the car inside face plate 12 to be connected by the rib 13. While, in the doorway, the face plates 11, 12 and the rib 15 above the rib 14 are cut and removed, and a hollow part composed of the ribs 13, 14 and the face plate 11 remains. The hollow sections 10, 110 overlap in inclined face ribs 13, 114, and can be formed in a truss shape with welding joining parts W1, W2 of both as the origin.
