PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve support force of a pile and reduce cost by providing a support plate outer peripheral steel plate close to the outer periphery of a pile support plate to agree with the shape of the outer periphery thereof on both upper and lower sides of the pile support plate. SOLUTION: The tip part of a steel pipe 1a is provided with a rotary press-in pile 1 having a pile support plate 2 worked by a spiral steel plate or the like. In the rotary press-in pile 1, a support plate outer peripheral steel plate 3 which is close to the outer peripheral part 2a of the pile support plate 2 and bent to agree with the outer peripheral shape is projected on both upper and lower sides of the pile support plate 2. Whereupon, by the presence of the support plate outer peripheral steel plate 3, the constraint effect of the ground works both upward and downward to the push-in load and pull-out load applied to the pile 1, so that displacement and bending moment generated in the pile support plate 2 are restrained. Accordingly, the support force can be improved by increase in diameter of the pile support plate 2, and the cost can be reduced by decrease in thickness of the pile support plate 2 and the steel pipe pile 1.
