PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent peeling between a partition wall and a substrate and to maintain good display quality. SOLUTION: Parts 3a, 3b of a partition wall 3 are formed to surround charged migration particles 5 and a dispersion liquid 4 for migration so that the partition wall is disposed not only in the region between pixels (the region except the region represented by number 2 in the figure) but in the pixel region 2, and these parts 3a, 3b are adhered to the substrates 1a, 1b. Thereby, the adhesion area (adhesion strength) of the partition wall 3 with the substrate 1a and 1b is increased compared with a partition wall 3 disposed only in the region between pixels, and peeling between the partition wall 3 and the substrates 1a, 1b can be prevented. Thereby, the migration dispersion liquid 4 or charged migration particles 5 are inhibited from moving to other pixels 2, and the display density of each pixel 2 is made uniform to maintain good display quality.
