PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact piezoelectric oscillator whose frequency control is simple. SOLUTION: This piezoelectric oscillator is provided with a piezoelectric oscillator 2, an amplifier 1, and a variable capacity element 3. In this case, the variable capacity element 3 is obtained as an MOS capacity element, and one terminal of the MOS capacity element is fixed to a V volt voltage, and the other terminal is constituted so that a control voltage can be applied in a range that a V volt is used as an intermediate value. Thus, it is possible to realize the piezoelectric oscillator for varying frequencies in a wide range without using any minus power source.
