PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a code reading device capable of quick and highly precise code reading. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a two-dimensional image sensor 1 for deviding a recording medium in which prescribed information converted into digital codes is recorded as optically readable codes into plural regions, for scanning the devided regions and for reading code pictures, a frame memory 2 for storing the plural code pictures read by the image sensor 1, a code picture processing part 3 for reading the plural code pictures from the frame memory 2, and for restoring them into the prescribed information, and a scanning speed detecting part 4 for detecting a speed at which the code is scanned from the information restored by the code picture processing part 3. Then, the processing configuration of the code picture processing part 3 is selected according to the scanning speed detected by the scanning speed detecting part 4. |
