PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling lever device for a civil engineering construction machine capable of stably bolding an attitude of a traveling lever fallen for traveling forward or backward. SOLUTION: This traveling lever is standingly provided before a driver's seat in a civil engineering construction machine to freely oscillate, is fallen forward to move a machine body forward, and backward to move the machine body backward. In this case, a grip member 4 which can be held with a grip 2a at an upper end of the traveling lever 2 is provided on the fallen side of the traveling lever 2 when the traveling lever 2 is fallen.
