PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration control method and a vibration control structure effective and economical for a superhigh-rise building being dominant in bending deformation causing the extension/contraction in the shaft direction of a column to a wind load and an earthquake load and forming a main frame of a core frame of the building inside and an outer peripheral frame of the building outer periphery. SOLUTION: In a vibration control method of a superhigh-rise building for forming a main frame of a core frame of the building inside and an outer peripheral frame of the building outer periphery, plural rigid columns 3 are arranged in a stacking state in the inside height direction of the core frame independently of the core frame, a vibration control damper 4 and a slider 5 are arranged in a boundary layer between the mutual vertically adjacent rigid columns 3, respective leg parts of the respective rigid columns 3 are connected in the horizontal direction to the core frame, and respective head parts of the respective rigid columns 3 are formed in the size noninterfering with horizontal deformation of the core frame.
