PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a miniaturized lightweight rice transplanter equipped with a mid-mount type fertilizer applicator, designed to reduce production cost without bringing about operating efficiency drop and the decline in machine body stability. SOLUTION: This rice transplanter is so designed as to link a seedling planting device 7 in a vertically movable manner via a lift link mechanism to the rear portion of a travel machine body and be mounted with a fertilizer applicator A on the rear side of a steering seat 21 on the travel machine body; wherein the left lateral side and the right lateral side of the steering seat 27 are disposed with a sub-variable-speed lever 25 and a planting lever 26, respectively, and a hopper 13 for fertilizer reservation in the fertilizer applicator A is formed to such a shape that the transverse ends thereof flake a roundabout way sideward through bypassing the steering seat 21 and the respective spaces S1 and S2 for the manual operation of steering levers 25 and 26 (open U-shape in a forwardly turned fashion when viewed from the top).
