The invention relates to a portable integrated circuit device which has a chip card that has a reduced format in comparison with standard format chip cards, comprising two parallel planar surfaces (30,40), whereby one surface has contact pads (3) and the integrated circuit (1) is connected to said contact pads.The invention is characterized in that the contact pads (3) form the planar surface (30) of the device on which the latter are placed.
