A paper web (41 or 42) is folded and cut in such a way that one of the fold plys (4) forms binding tabs (14) following on from the fold, said binding tabs lying along the fold, at a distance from each other. The binding tabs (14) are then fixed to the next ply with glue or similar by pressing, without the fold joint (13) being stiffened. As a result, the individual sheet plys that are joined by the binding in such a way that they form a block can be delaminated or folded over without tension.
