The beet (e.g. sugarbeet) and stones are passed over a first resiliently mounted screen (1) and then the stones and some of the beet drop down onto a second resiliently mounted screen (2), which brakes their fall onto the rotary brushes (3). Stones pass through the brushes but beet roll off the top. |
