A base paper comprises a layer of paper with a film of glue present on both sides thereof. One of the films of glue includes a colorant, in particular an optical whitener, which generates fluorescence radiation under the influence of excitation radiation. A security coating is applied to the film of glue containing a colorant that is present on security paper which has been obtained by means of said base paper. The security paper is advantageously used as printing paper for various documents, in particular for documents for financial transactions, securities, insurance policies or other documents that are subject to fraud. |
