<p>A method of making a press felt, and a press felt. The press felt comprises a continuous base fabric in the lateral direction, and at least one batt fiber layer. The closed-loop base fabric is made of longitudinal and transverse yarns. The properties of the press felt, such as permeance, are arranged to be different in edge portions of the press felt from the midportion of the felt.</p> |
