PURPOSE: An image signal processing apparatus is provided to be capable of removing a flicker phenomenon at a high frequency domain by sensing the high frequency domain from a brightness signal and relatively reducing a light and darkness process of the high frequency domain. CONSTITUTION: A gate pulse generator(10) senses a high frequency domain from a brightness signal(Yin) to output a gate pulse(GP) corresponding to the high frequency domain. A brightness signal processing part(20) adjusts a light and darkness of the brightness signal according to the gate pulse(GP). The gate pulse generator(10) consists of high and low level slicing parts(10-1,10-2) for slicing the brightness signal into high and low levels, the first and second high frequency detectors(10-3,10-4) for detecting a high frequency component from outputs of the slicing parts(10-1,10-2), and an AND gate(10-5) for logically combining outputs of the detectors(10-3,10-4) to output the gate pulse(GP) corresponding to a high frequency portion where a black-and-white contrast is relatively large. |
