PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to easily adjust clearance of armature needle valve, reduce the length of the valve, and prevent deformation of a stopper caused by a movement of the valve. CONSTITUTION: An outlet orifice(11) is formed at a portion where a chamber(12) of an armature needle valve(5) and a high pressure fuel flow channel are communicated with each other, in such a manner that the outlet orifice forms a right angle with the chamber. A spring force adjusting member(9) is arranged at a lower end of the armature needle valve, and a compression coil spring(8) is arranged at an outer periphery of the spring force adjusting member. The compression coil spring is interposed between the spring force adjusting member and an armature needle guide(6), to thereby allow the armature needle valve to be opened and shut off.
