PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the dye fixing element having a barrier function against colored materials in the air and improved storage stability. SOLUTION: The dye fixing element 10 has a layer 14 containing a mordant on the surface 12a of a support 12 and one or more layer 16 containing a binder, fine inorganic oxide particles, and an antifoggant on the other surface 12b of the support 12, and it is preferred that the binder is a polyvinyl alcohol and at least one kind of the fine inorganic oxide particles is a colloidal alumina hydrate.
