OMEGA ZEOLITE CATALYST CONTAINING AT LEAST ONE METAL OF THE GROUP IIA,IVB, IIB OR IVA AND THE USE THEREOF IN THE ISOMERISATION OF A C8 FRACTION

Catalyst of aluminosilicate type containing an omega zeolite with an Si/Al atomic ratio of between 2.5 and 100, with a sodium weight content lower than 2,000 ppm (relative to the weight of dry zeolite) and additionally containing at least one metal chosen from metals of groups IIa, IIb and IVa, and at least one metal of group VIII. The catalyst is prepared by grafting an organometallic compound of the said metal of groups IIa, IVb, IIb, IVa. The catalyst is particularly suitable for the isomerisation of an aromatic C8 cut.
