PURPOSE: A driving method of PDP(Plazma Display Panel) using RF(Radio Frequency) discharge is provided to minimize image distortion caused by a different amount of light emission among each sub-field resulted from inhomogeneity of an amount of wall charges among address discharge periods in each sub-field. CONSTITUTION: A driving method of PDP using RF discharge is forming sequentially the first address discharge period(Ta1), the first sustain discharge period(Ts1), the second address discharge period(Ta2) and the second sustain discharge period(Ts2) in each sub-field(SF1,SF2,.....). Because an address discharge period(Ta1 or Ta2) is one half of a conventional address discharge period in one sub-field and RF discharge is conducted twice in each sub-field(SF1,SF2,.......), wall charges are uniformly accumulated within a discharge cell in the respective address periods(Ta1,Ta2) and minimum image distortion is achieved. |
