PURPOSE: A voltage compensating device is provided to prevent a vertical stripe pattern from being generated by compensating and applying a voltage so as to correspond to a voltage attenuation by a line resistance. CONSTITUTION: A voltage compensating device comprises an upper data converting part(100), a lower data converting part(200), and a region control signal generating part(300). The region control signal generating part(300) generates region control signals(CNT1-CNT3) corresponding to each region. The upper data converting part(100) converts upper data so as to correspond to each region, and consists of the first subtracter(52) for subtracting the upper data, the first adder(56) for adding the upper data, the first multiplexer(60) for multiplexing an output signal of the first adder(56), and the second multiplexer(62) for multiplexing an output signal of the first multiplexer(60) and the upper data. The lower data converting part(200) converts lower data so as to correspond to each region, and consists of the second subtracter(54) for subtracting the lower data having a reference voltage level, the second adder(58) for adding the lower data, the third multiplexer(64) for multiplexing an output signal of the second adder(58), and the fourth multiplexer(66) for multiplexing an output signal of the third multiplexer(64) and the lower data.
