PURPOSE: A bi-directional light amplifier using unidirectional light amplifier is provided to limit the reflection effect efficiently and to cut down the construction cost of light amplifier, by performing the function of bi-directional light amplifier using a common light element and unidirectional light amplifier. CONSTITUTION: A bi-directional light amplifier using unidirectional light amplifier amplifies a light signal transmitted from a first light system(300) to a second light system(400) and a light signal transmitted from the second light system(400) to the first light system(300) and comprises a directional coupler(100) and a unidirectional light amplifier(200). The directional coupler(100) multiplexes the light signals through a first port(P101) and a second port(P102), outputs the light signal to a third port(P103), demultiplexes the light signal through a fourth port(P104) and outputs the light signal through the first port(P101) and the second port(P102). The wave of the light signals is different from each other and is inputted from two-way. The unidirectional light amplifier(200) receives the light signal output through the third port(P103), amplifies the strength of light and outputs to the fourth port(P104) of the directional coupler(100).
