FORWARD POWER ESTIMATION METHOD FOR A FAST FORWARD POWER CONTROL IN THE DS-CDMA SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for predicting a forward-power for high speed forward power control in a DS-CDMA system is provided to predict the forward power without an additional structure by using the power control bits forward-transmitted at a constant speed to control the backward power and also controlling their transmitting power and the period of a bit. CONSTITUTION: In a method of controlling forward power at a high speed in a DS-CDMA mobile communication system, the backward power control bits transmitted forwardly are demodulated for a bit determination. Then, terminal controls the power of the backward power control bits according to the determination value of the demodulated bits and thereby predicts the forward power.
