PROCESS FOR INCREASING PACLITAXEL AND DERIVATIVES THEREOF IN PLANT CULTURE MEDIUM

PURPOSE: Provided is a method for increasing paclitaxel and taxan derivatives in broth to obtain paclitaxel and taxan derivatives in a high yield through a simple method. CONSTITUTION: To increase paclitaxel and taxane, SYC-1 (KCTC 0232BP) is cultured in B5 broth containing 10μM of AgNO3 at 24 deg.C with adding maltose. After cultivating plant cells of Taxus genus, pH of broth is set at acid condition for a while. pH of the broth ranges from 2.0 to 5.0. As pH of broth is around pH 6.0 after cultivation of plant cells, acid, if necessary, is added to set pH at 2.0-5.0. Acid is selected from hydrochloric acid and inorganic acid. And agitation is required to facilitate reaction of the broth. The reaction is conducted at -90deg.C.
