PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To configure an image signal of a progressive image by rearranging image signals in each field in the normal order even when the image signals of the interlace system are received in a state that the phase difference between a vertical synchronizing signal and a horizontal synchronizing signal is not constant. SOLUTION: A switch 3 sequentially selects a field memory in a field memory section 2 every time the switch 3 receives a vertical synchronizing signal Vsync. The selected field memory stores a time counted by a timer 1 from the reception of the vertical synchronizing signal Vsync until reception of each of horizontal synchronizing signals Hsync together with an image signal in succession to each horizontal synchronizing signal. A sort processing section 4 reads image signals from two field memories that recently store the timer value and the image signals, and rearranges the image signals in the order of the corresponding times of the timer and writes the rearranged signals to a frame memory 5. |
