SOUND ABSORBING STRUCTURE OF CABLE REEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix a sound absorbing element attached to the sliding surface of a cable reel on which a flat cable slides without using adhesive. SOLUTION: A sound absorbing element 14 consisting of an annular high smoothness sound absorbing sheet 15 and a reinforcing board 16 to which the sheet 15 is solidly attached is placed on the sliding surface of a cable housing chamber on which a flat cable 4 slides. 3 and 4 small pressing protrusions 17 are integrally formed on the outer circumferential wall or/and inner circumferential wall at positions corresponding to the placing positions of the sound absorbing element 14. The small pressing protrusions 17 are pressed against the outer circumferential end plane or/and inner circumferential end plane of the high smoothness sound absorbing sheet 15 to fix the sound absorbing element 14 so as not to move.
